Hear From Our Storytellers

Real stories from students who found confidence, passion, and joy through journalling.

Real stories from students who found confidence, passion, and joy through journalling.

"I attended TTP’s Re:Story workshop, and it was unlike any other workshop I have participated in—even those focused on mental health. The workshops I have attended in school were usually lecture-based, with less opportunities for interaction. What made Re:Story stand out was its ability to encourage open discussion about mental health and our personal challenges. The workshop helped me realize that everyone carries their own struggles, many of which we may never notice unless we create space for honest conversation. Attending Re:Story can help people feel less alone in their experiences and may even encourage them to seek support from those around them or from professionals. Additionally, the workshop introduced me to narrative journaling which has allowed me to express thoughts I otherwise would have kept to myself. I think that Re:Story is a strong starting point for making mental health discussions more open and prominent in society."

Re:Story

"I was so excited to realise that poetry can be such an inspiring, powerful and viable mode of storytelling and expression/journaling. It is so rare to find such workshops that have been so fine-tuned and catered to an audience like myself who is very new to poetry and yet have a lot of interest in writing and exchange of stories. It was a safe and encouraging environment and facilitated in a way that was not like a typical stressful school classroom environment or course. I look forward to future writer's circle/Tapestry Project workshops that encourage me to sojourn alongside others and discover or revisit creative healthy modes of expression."
